Tablet
Month, 3 days, 5 days, Day
Opens on Month with a day sidebar.
Phone
Month, 3 days, Day
A saved 5-day view opens as 3 days.
The period arrows sit immediately beside the date or range.
The entry view has no “Overview” heading.
Add event sits beside the selected agenda date and creates the event on that date.
Phone calendar
Its own screen, with no bottom navigation.
A 64 dp bar: Back, the period, ‹ › (Month and 3 days only), Today.
Month / 3 days / Day segments.
Month grid: 62 dp cells, each with up to three 4 dp bars and “+N”.
Below the grid: the selected day's heading (opens its journal) with Add event, above that day's agenda.
Day view has previous and next day in a 56 dp bar at the bottom (“‹ Tue 3 Nov”, “Thu 5 Nov ›”).
Grid layout
Headers are date-first, with a 28 dp date circle.
Selected: filled forest circle, white Bold number.
Today: 2 dp forest outline.
Grid borders run through the header.
A 32 dp gutter shows hours without leading zeros.
“All day” is a two-line label.
No horizontal scrolling.
Hour numbers and the “All day” label are 16 sp, muted and tabular.
“+N more” is accent Medium.

Month
Adjacent-month days are muted and inert.
The selected cell has a sage fill and a 2 dp outline.
Month chips are display-only: two per cell in portrait, one in landscape.
Tapping a cell selects the day.
On the tablet, Month cells and time-grid headers have no journal icons.
Tablet sidebar
300 dp wide; a list with 16 dp start padding.
Its persistent scrollbar sits in a 16 dp end lane.
The day heading opens that day's journal.
“+N more”
Opens the day's full set: meetings by time, then ToDos.
Tablet: a list anchored beside the cell, flipping sides to stay on screen, 340 dp wide with a 320 dp list.
Phone: tapping a day that shows “+N more” selects it and opens the set as a bottom sheet. The cell is the only 48 dp target.
With the overview agenda hidden, Month chips stay display-only, so tapping a tablet day that has items opens the same anchored list.
Overview agenda
Optional; shown by default.
“Hide agenda” appears only before a calendar is connected. Once a device calendar or Webcal source exists, it is gone, even if all its events are filtered out.
Hiding asks for confirmation. The confirmation explains what Agenda provides, that the block disappears, and that Settings → Calendars → Show agenda on overview brings it back.
Cancel or Back keeps the agenda visible.
The Settings toggle stays available after a calendar is connected.
Hidden: the whole phone overview block or BOOX sidebar agenda is removed and ToDos move up. The calendar itself stays available.
The preference is stored on this device. It does not change calendar sources, permissions or saved notes.
Agenda states
Before calendar setup: “Connect your calendar” with an explanation of meeting notes. No permission-status sentence.
The setup card is one outlined card with a single primary action and a quiet “Hide agenda”.

Webcal sources work without Android calendar access.
“No meetings scheduled” appears only after a successful read of the selected sources. Loading and errors never look like an empty day.
Loading, “No meetings scheduled” and the error row share one slot at least 48 dp tall, so ToDos never jump.
The error row: alert glyph, Bold red “Couldn’t load meetings”, and Retry (while busy it shows the hourglass and is announced as “Loading…”).
Meeting cards
Meeting cards use the meeting fill (InkColors.MeetingFill, #f3f6f0) with the default forest theme, for BOOX readability.
A calendar's own colour keeps the same restrained fill treatment.
A calendar without its own colour uses the calendar rail colour (InkColors.CalendarRail, #3f6e9a).
